The EMS Orchestra is a student-run ensemble which welcomes players of mixed abilities, as well as being a form of integration between the undergraduate and postgraduate scenes within the College. It rehearses weekly in Michaelmas and Hilary terms, and performs concerts twice a year in the beautiful College Chapel, usually in November and February. The EMS Orchestra provides a great opportunity for players who are not part of any university-wide society to play inspiring music in a fun, relaxed environment, while also maintaining a high standard of performance throughout. Recent undertakings include Dvorak's Symphony No.8, Schubert's Unfinished Symphony and Beethoven's Coriolan Overture.
Director: Maya Saxena
Rehearsals: Wednesdays at 8pm in the Chapel
